First of the year 2008.
I hate this year. Its a lifeless year filled with homework and test... and more homework and tests, then the 'O' Levels. The year started out badly, with already homework on the first day of school.
Anyway, the first day of school started out with me waiting for Jane and Cherie. Surprisingly, Jane happened to meet up with me first. We waited for Cherie who was punctual (extremo late for her) and ended up with the back seats. Currently, I'm seated beside Cherie, who happens to have a vibe which prevents me from sleeping. Oh yes, since the start of the year, I only fell asleep in class for once!
Homework has been coming in lorries and cannot cope at all. Maths is still okay, but homework like English sometimes can be very time wasting, especially when we nothing to write about on our reflections. Speaking about homework...
Our teachers for this year is:
English-Ms Betsy Teo: She's a very fuinny teacher who teaches well, but disallows us to use correction tape. But I'm taking it quite well.
A/E.Maths-Ms Cheryl Ng: Same. A big hooray for me since my Maths has rose from a C6 to an A2 since she taught us.
Chemistry-Mr Tien: Still our form teacher, a blessing for us. Now I won't be worried I don't understand a thing about Chemistry.
Biology-Mrs Chew: Same. But she's more cheerful now and I actually don't fall asleep in her lessons anymore.
Chinese-Mrs Florence Hoo: She may fiercer than a demon, but she teaches really well. I can see my Chinese improving slightly.
History-Mr Rahim: Yawns.
Geography-Mr Quek Bufeng: Very very nice. Allows us to do other homework in his class and allows in-class naps.
Social Studies-Mr Seah: A very funny teacher, with 'evil' being the only word in his vocabulary.
Also, I have been chosen as the Chinese Representative. An easy job surprisingly, since almost everyone hands in Chinese homework.
In NPCC, I'm still very slack, since there is practically nothing for me to do as I'm in the Logistic Department. Spends the whole day slacking in the canteen and talking to squadmates. Also, I managed to screw up in front of the whole unit when i was taking the badges from Ms Leow. She makes me miss Mr. Tien a lot. At least, Mr. Tien guide us on how to receive the prize. All she does is shake her head until we get it right.
Speaking of Ms Leow, she is the new discipline coodinator, and she is practically the worst of all coodinators. The way she disrupted our Englih class was really rude, just because Bella and Pearl didn't report. Seriously lame and stupid. It hasn't even been a month and the whole school practically hates her.
Don't you ever get a feeling you are very safe when you look at your own blog. It is like a underwater palace in the vast ocean of cyberspace, and all the flaming are merely leaks in your private sanctuary of tranquility(though mine looks like its among all the anglerfish deep below the ocean).
Today, I went to Mr Quek's movie screening, the 10.30am slot. I heard the 8am slot was more packed with people. The 10.30am slot was like a gold class cinema since it was just Kim, me and Mr Quek. The movie was Hotel Rwanda. The movie was really nice, and meaningful, unlike those lame movies. It was as though I could really reach in and feel the sorrow of the people in the movie. Moreover, it was based on a true story. After the movie, Kim and I went for lunch in KFC. Met up with Siti and gang after that. I saw this sleeveless jacket thingy in 77th Street which caught my attention and I just gotta have it. Shall save up for that first. Speaking of money, I have to save up a hundred dollars for a Billabong bag for Cherie, so she will buy a $150 Nike bag(similar to Ernest's) and a meal in Seoul Garden.
Will be looking forward to class decoration and the Class Outing and blackjack sessions at my aunt's in Chinese New Year.
Are you willing to die, leaving behind every trouble and problem you have, along with your loved ones, your accomplishments and even your dreams? It is all up to you.
